Meet The Team

Robin Chapman
I have recently retired from teaching secondary mathematics, a career that has been both rewarding and impactful. For over 18 years, I have also worked as a tutor, and I’m now excited to pursue this work full time. One-on-one instruction allows me to connect deeply with students, understand their individual needs, and witness their growth firsthand. There's nothing more fulfilling than hearing a student say, “I get it now.”
Outside of education, I enjoy traveling, knitting, needlework, and diving into new creative projects. These hobbies keep me inspired and bring a sense of balance to my life.

Peyton Hilliard
Hi, I’m Peyton! I hold a B.S. in Genetics from Clemson University, a Master of Science in Education from UAB, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of North Alabama. I’ve been teaching science for the past four years and have spent the last three years tutoring with Chapman Tutoring.
Before that, I worked with the athletic departments at both Clemson and UAB, where I had the opportunity to tutor student-athletes across a variety of subjects.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending quality time with my husband.

Amy Akin
I’m a retired high school Geometry teacher with 27 years of classroom experience, including 17 years specializing in secondary mathematics. Now in my second year with Chapman Tutoring, I truly enjoy working one-on-one with students to help them master concepts, build confidence, and fill in learning gaps. Tutoring allows me to continue doing what I love—making a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my dogs, cooking, reading, cheering on Alabama football, and being with my family.

Ally Kozlov
Hello! My name is Ally Kozlov, and I’ve been teaching Chemistry for the past five years.
My love for Chemistry began while I was pursuing my degree in Nutrition Science at Auburn University. After taking Chemistry during my freshman year, I was invited to be a Supplemental Instructor (SI) for international Chemistry-1 students. That experience sparked my interest in teaching and mentoring others. After graduating, I worked in the Nutrition Department at UAB and started substitute teaching for science classes around Birmingham. My passion for education continued to grow, and in August of 2020, I officially became a Chemistry teacher.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy painting, antiquing, and—most of all—traveling. My husband and I try to explore at least one new destination each year. Our most recent adventures took us to Ireland and Amsterdam!
I’m looking forward to meeting you, helping you expand your knowledge of chemistry, and
learning about your own interests and passions along the way.
